Bodies of Knowledge is an on-line directory of training opportunities for professionals working in the performing arts.

By 'performing arts' we mean anything from Butoh to Bharat Natyam, from the Theatre of Objects to Live Art. We do not carry information about training for professional music unless it falls within the field of theatre - i.e. music theatre.

By 'training opportunities' we mean short, mostly practical courses that are specifically designed for professionals and open to artists from across the world (assuming they speak the language(s) in which the courses or workshops are being given).

This means that we are looking for entries from:
• Organisations that present a regular programme of such training opportunities (i.e. workshops, masterclasses and short courses)
• Artists that lead training programmes that are designed for professionals

In short, Bodies of Knowledge is a specialist directory catering for a specific clientele who are interested in continuing their training or developing their personal research into the performing arts. This explains why we do not list:
• University MA programmes
• Performing Arts Schools or Colleges
• Summer Courses for children or young adults
